Almased is a meal replacement shake produced by a company named Almased Inc.

Almased is available via the official website (www.almased.com), Amazon, eBay and several other supplement retailers. We are unsure if it is available in stores.

At the time of writing this review, Almased has an A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau and has no unresolved customer complaints filed against them.

One tub of Almased contains 10 servings (or 10 “meals”) and costs between $15-20.

This product is targeted towards those who are looking for a more natural means of weight loss (i.e. those who aren’t particularly keen on the idea of using diet pills or appetite suppressant pills). The whole concept of the Almased Diet is that you’d use these shakes to replace your breakfast, lunch and dinner until you achieve your desired target weight – this basically means that the Almased Diet puts users on a VLCD (very low calorie diet).

Consumers of Almased are primarily told that the product can help them lose weight quickly. They are also told the formula can help support their metabolism and help preserve muscle mass while dieting.

Based on our research into Almased, we believe that it may be useful for the purposes of weight loss if it is used in the correct manner.

After trying almost everything to lose weight (over weight middle aged bloke) I thought I would give this a try. Still on stage 1 after 4 days and lost 7 pounds. I use almond milk and a couple of strawberries in a blender (or blue berries) very please with the results so far. It’s cheaper in Boots though.

Quite a few reviews comment on the taste, it isn’t very well liked. I like it, I use almond milk (unsweetened) to mix and the taste is just fine. Much better than the diet meal replacement powder that’s been around for years in various false flavours!

I don’t like the taste and using it with water is horrible. I tried with yoghurt but that did not work either. Felt sick.

Our Final Verdict On Almased

To conclude our Almased review, it’s a bit of a mixed bag – there are things that we like about it and things that we aren’t too blown away by. It’s definitely a useful product for those who are looking to lower their daily caloric intake with some convenient, nutritionally-complete shakes.

We feel Almased is let down by the somewhat basic formula – there aren’t any fat burning ingredients inside it and it’s also pretty unlikely to suppress your appetite over the long-term; as believe that it’s more of a “convenience” shake as it simply allows you to put yourself on a low-cal diet without having to meticulously plan out a diet that doesn’t exceed your macros.
