Some Quick Information About PlantFusion

PlantFusion Lean is an organic, plant-based weight loss shake produced by a US-based company named PlantFusion. A 1lb tub of this product costs $34.99 and contains 10 servings, making each shake cost around $3.49.

PlantFusion Lean is essentially a Pea Protein Isolate shake with some added organic carbohydrate powder, chromium and probiotic ingredients.

The manufacturers claim that consumers will experience significant appetite suppression while using their Lean shake, which will gradually lead to gradual weight loss – they make no reference to the product being able to burn body fat or boost metabolism.

Does PlantFusion Lean Work?

Based on our research into this product, we do not believe this is the best weight loss shake money can buy.

Firstly, to be clear on the capabilities of this product – there are no fat burning or metabolism boosting ingredients inside the PlantFusion Lean shakes. As we stated above, the product is basically just a pea protein isolate shake with a few added extras; there doesn’t appear to have been any real innovation used while formulating this product. If you’re looking for a fat burning weight loss shake, you should probably check out Burner Shake.

PlantFusion state that their product has clinical trials showing that Lean is “35% more effective than whey protein for curbing hunger”, however these studies are not presented or cited anywhere on their website. When searching the PubMed database, we found that no such trials have been conducted publicly on the “EcoLean” proprietary blend – we are skeptical on this claim.

We have found the following nutritional information via the product’s Amazon listing:

What Are The PlantFusion Lean Side Effects?

We’ve compiled the following potential side effects based on the ingredients inside this formula:

Increased bowel movements, nausea, thirst, bloating, cramps, tiredness (fatigue), and headache. [1]

Note: these side effects are possible but may not be the typical user experience.

What Claims Are Being Made About PlantFusion Lean?

We have found the following claims and/or implications being made about this product:

    1. Clinically tested product – False
    2. Supports normal macronutrient metabolism – True

PlantFusion claim that their protein proprietary blend named “EcoLean” is clinically proven to suppress appetite levels, however they do not disclose their research on the blend. A search for the clinical trials on the PubMed database revealed no results. Based on a lack of evidence, we deem claim #1 to be false.

Are There Any Reviews From Customers?

We have found the following PlantFusion Lean review testimonials via customers online:

Its not terrible. But there are better options out there with much less sodium. I didn’t mind the flavor – it was just OK. But the powder didn’t mix easily in a Blender Bottle. The consistency was more watery than other protein shakes. After mixing, it was still gritty, with clumps of powder and rather frothy.

Does a good job at curbing the appetite. The flavor isn’t bad, but you can tell it’s plant based! Lol. Fine for me, though.

Where Can I Buy This Product?

This product is available via the official PlantFusion website, as well as Amazon. It may be available in select stores.

Our Conclusion.

To conclude our PlantFusion Lean review, it’s a bit of a mixed bag – there are things that we like about it and things that we aren’t too blown away by. If you’re just looking for an organic meal replacement shake with chromium and probiotics, this isn’t a terrible product, but it’s certainly not breaking any new ground when it comes to the ingredients. For the price of this product, we feel that there should be more effective, fat burning ingredients inside the formula.
