ShredZ Fat Burner Review
There are no doubts that the brand ShredZ is a social media sensation – you’ve more than likely seen this product being promoted via some miscellaneous Instagram celebrity. The infamous ShredZ Burner has seen a huge amount of attention lately so in this ShredZ Fat Burner review, we’re looking at whether or not this product is something dieters should consider using.
Let’s take a look at the top level pros and cons of this product:
The Shredz Scandal
Shredz is a supplement company based in New Jersey, USA. There are few companies that take the approach to selling supplements quite like Shredz does – instead of growing their brand by a conventional means, the brand has been build off the back off social media influencers.
Shredz has brought on board some of the biggest names in online fitness to promote their brand. Rumour has it that some of the Shredz athlete salaries have been hundreds of dollars per social media post. Others have stated the Shredz athletes are paid on a commission basis, taking a percentage of the sales they personally drive to the brand.
With all that being said, it makes financial sense for these athletes and influencers to say that Shredz supplements are the best thing since sliced bread, so be aware of their bias.
Here’s where it gets interesting..
You may have noticed that Shredz is no longer getting the massive support from the social media fitness influencers like it once did. Many of the big Shredz social media stars have now severed ties with the company due to controversy based around two of their athletes. Devin Zimmerman and Paige Hathaway were allegedly defrauding their audience members and running rigged contests, many of which were the young and easily-influenced customers that Shredz attracts.
While digging for further information, we found the following quote by a user on Reddit explaining the situation:

Does The ShredZ Fat Burner Work?
As with all weight loss products and diet pills, there are many misconceptions on their ability – some genuinely do perform a role in contributing towards weight loss, some don’t. There are numerous misconceptions over the ShredZ fat burner supplements that are fuelled by the less-than-accurate claims that ShredZ and their athletes are making.
ShredZ makes two types of diet pills, a “fat burner for him” and a “fat burner for her“. Both products are very similar in nature; the for her fat burner pill is just a less-potently-dosed version of the for him fat burner.
In spite of the claims made on both male and female products, neither contain any ingredients that “burn fat” or “suppress appetite”. Make no mistake, taking the ShredZ fat burner will not have you “burning calories all day long” like they would have you believe.
These both of these diet pills only really provide one function – energy.
Both formulas will elevate user energy levels, will help reduce the onset of fatigue, will reduce your perceived rate of exertion and will help improve mental focus and alertness.
The above effects are ideal for anyone who is willing to work for their results. In order to see weight loss results while using these products you will need to stick to a low calorie diet and regularly exercise – these products aren’t miracle pills.

What Are The Claims On ShredZ Fat Burner?
The brand ShredZ is well known for its social media marketing efforts – we’ve looked at everything that has been said about this product online and compiled the following list of implied claims:
- Boost metabolism – Potentially True
- Boost energy levels – True
- Suppress appetite – False
- Burns calories all day long – False
In regards to claim 1, we have found some evidence to suggest that ingredients within the ShredZ fat burner may help boost metabolism, but this effect is completely dependent on a user-by-user basis. In order for users of this product to receive such a metabolism boosted effect, researchers found that humans need around 4mg of caffeine per 2 lbs of body weight. Furthermore, the effect is also dependent on your caffeine-tolerance (source). The study also states that the boosted metabolism effect will only last between 1-3 hours maximum.
We deem claim 2 to be true – there is significant scientific evidence to suggest that caffeine can boost energy levels and increase alertness (source).
Finally, we deem claims 3 and 4 to be false and misleading on the grounds of a complete lack of evidence. Neither product contains any ingredient that will perform these functions.
Are There Any Reviews From Customers?
We have found the following ShredZ Fat Burner review testimonials via customers online:
First time in a long time trying to shred weight, these helped me tremendously in my diet. I didn’t feel jittery or overwhelmed, great product!
Did not help with weight loss or appetite suppression. Also followed Shredz meal plan while taking supplement.
We found many of the negative reviews on this product were customers complaining of adverse side effects.
Where Can I Buy This Product?
These products don’t seem to be available from anywhere other than shredz.com and Amazon. We couldn’t locate these products in stores.
To conclude our ShredZ Fat Burners review, we do not recommend either of these products. Firstly, the whole male/female version thing is a total gimmick and marketing ploy – as we demonstrated above, these products are extremely similar in formula and only really differ by a few different ingredients and amounts.
Neither product contains anything that will actually burn your body fat or suppress appetite; it annoys us to see ShredZ making genuinely false claims about the products effects (note: they do state that these claims aren’t verified by the FDA, which basically means they’re admitting they’re false).
This product will boost energy and help your training sessions which is a positive, but for what is essentially a pre-workout/energy pill, the price point is so high it’s eye-watering. Finally, the lack of money-back guarantee puts us off these products in general.
If you’re looking for a great fat burner, we recommend you check out our top rated product Thermaxin.
