SR9009, also known as stenabolic, is a synthetic drug that was initially developed for the purpose of studying the circadian rhythm. This is the natural process which regulates the sleep-wake cycle and repeats itself roughly every 24 hours.

However, as research on this compound started to be carried out it began to be continuously linked to weight loss, cholesterol levels, inflammation, anxiety, and endurance.

Although SR9009 is often referred to as a SARM, it actually does not belong to the SARMs family. SR9009 is better defined as a REV-ERB agonist, with REV-ERBs being a group of nuclear receptors that are essential components of the circadian clock.

Before reading this review, please note that the research on SR9009 is very new and is yet to be tested on humans. At the moment its efficacy is based on presumptions from the findings within animal and lab-based studies.

However, this does not necessarily deem them completely safe.

How To Take SR9009?

There is currently no recommended human dose for SR9009, as clinical research is severely lacking.

Based on the research from animal studies, ~100mg per kg of bodyweight is used, however this does not necessarily apply to humans and it is not guaranteed that this dose is safe.

If people are going to experiment with SR9009, it is advised to take alongside a fat-rich meal, due to the compound being fat-soluble.

According to online forums, typical doses people are experimenting with are 10-50mg per day, split into 3-4 doses due to the short 4 hour half-life of SR9009.

Is SR9009 Legal?

Although SR9009 is not actually a SARM, it is still treated as one within legal frameworks.

REV-ERB agonists are currently undergoing clinical evaluation, and therefore they are not approved for therapeutic use in humans in any country.

At the moment they are only being produced and made available to purchase on the black market from non-pharmaceutical labs. This is a key reason why the safety of SR9009 cannot be guaranteed.

However, unlike other SARMs (although it technically isn’t one), SR9009 is not officially published on the “Prohibited List” by the world anti-doping agency. However, there is reason to believe it could potentially be classified within the “Hormone and Metabolic Modulator” class, as part of a grey area.

It is advised that athletes check the legality of the drug with their sporting federations, as it could result in an anti-doping violation.
